Just Released - Communication Preferences

Tailor communication preferences for your investors

At Caruso, we constantly ship new features to help fund managers delight their investors, build stronger capital relationships, improve operating efficiency, and reduce risk.

We have shipped several features that provide fund managers with additional ways of communicating with investors.

Communication Preferences

Fund managers can now ensure that all relevant stakeholders receive important email updates about their investments. Previously, only key accounts on Caruso received communications on behalf of an investing entity. With this update, other contacts such as a financial advisor, trustee or accountant can also stay up-to-date. Email updates include notifications of distributions, new performance reports or requests to complete outstanding compliance.

By engaging a broader investor group, fund managers can increase transparency in existing investments. This also creates engagement with new opportunities as email updates prompt investors to log into the investor portal.

As part of this, we have added an ‘Accounts’ view to the investor portal settings. This gives investors full visibility of who has access to their investing entity, including who the key account is and who receives communications. Fund managers using the admin app have the same visibility, with extended permissions to edit the communication preferences for each account.

Managing Key Accounts

Whilst extending communication preference for accounts, we have also given admin users the ability to designate new key accounts. The need for this arises whenever the roles and responsibilities within an investing entity such as a trust or company change.

Also new…

  • We have introduced the ability to add and edit notes against an investor’s allocation request. This allows you to track investor preferences and ensure your teams know any operational details before issuing units to an investor.
  • After placing an allocation request, we’ve made it easier for investors to navigate to their recent orders.
  • We have extended our task filters to include a due date and created date.
  • Several new reports which cater to the operational needs of fund managers. These include:
    • All Fund Distributions Report - Detailed information about all investing entities that received a distribution over a selected period.
    • All Holdings Report - All holdings across funds on a selected date. Includes key information about each fund, investing entity and their key account.
    • All Deposits Report - All payments received for allocation requests over a selected period.
    • All PEP Matches Report - All accounts and beneficial owners with PEP (Politically Exposed Person) matches over a period.
    • All Identity Duplicates Report - All accounts and beneficial owners with duplicate ID records.
    • All Operations Report - Operational metrics such as the number of new investors, and the value of units issued or transferred over a period.
    • Investor Lifetime Value Report - All accounts and beneficial owners related to investing entities, including the total capital committed and all connections across a period.
